If your family enjoys being outside in the fresh air, trying your hand at something new at the same time, you’ll love our Bushcraft sessions. Our experienced Ranger runs sessions during school holidays with something for all ages, abilities and interests. Â
Everyone can learn how to build a temporary shelter, source wood to build a fire and use a flint steel to light it. You’ll also learn how to spot and identify woodland mammals and mini beasts too. Of course, safety is a No 1 priority, so we’ll teach some really valuable life skills; like how to get help in the event of an emergency whilst out wild camping.
We understand that not everyone enjoys the ‘rough & tumble’ of outdoor activities but can still love the fresh air. So we also offer sensory experiences, like creating a transient piece of artwork from natural materials. Taking part in a group walk on the estate. Quietly listening to the ambient sounds of a woodland environment. And experiencing the sights, sounds, smells and feel of a variety of woodland settings.
Whatever you choose, don’t miss the chance to get together round an open fire afterwards to toast marshmallows. You can’t beat it!
